Namaste/Namaskaram:

A Gesture that marks to great the other person with respect and reverence.

It is also called Anjali mudra in Yoga.

The scientific reason is, the fingertips are having a major energy point that increases the pressure when we join both palms together, the nerves circuits of the brain are linked to the upper body. Each finger represents a certain pressure point.
  • The little finger represents Tamas/dullness.
  • The ring finger for Rajas/Activity.

  • The index finger for Jeevathama.
  • The Thumb finger represents Paramatma.

 2. Toe rings:

Toe rings represent marital status. Traditionally Indian married women wore silver made toe rings to the second toe.

The scientific reason is there is a nerve that starts from the second toe that is connected to the uterus and to the heart.

It provides slight pressure to their toes. It helps in good blood circulation to strengthen the uterus and makes them healthy.

It also helps in regulating the menstrual cycle of a woman. silver is a good conductor that absorbs the polar energy from the earth passes to the entire body and makes the body rejuvenate and energetic.

 3. Ear Piercing

Piercing the ears is one of the traditions for Indian women. Wearing earrings is controlled for some diseases like Hernia and restricts hysteria.

The Scientific reason is, there is a nerve that connects the eyes and to the reproductive organs, It helps to regulate the menstrual cycle, it results in better eyesight.

Ear piercings could lower the menstrual pain to some extent as well as reduce the pain during childbirth. It increases their intelligence, thinking capability, and indecision making.

It Improves Brain Health, promotes reproductive health, develops immunity, provides for digestive health.

   4. Touching feet of elders:

Touching the feet of elders is a kind of greetings in the Indian culture, the person gives respect to his or her elder's wisdom, knowledge, and age. It is said that by touching the feet you acquire knowledge and intellect, by touching the feet we are surrounding our ego.

The scientific reason is our human body is having both positive and negative energies. The left represents negative and the right is positive energy, when we touch the feet both energies pass and transmit from one person to the other.

we take the energy with the hands and give the energy from the foot, which means hands are energy acceptors the feet are energy givers. The person who touches the feet becomes the receiver and the elder person is the giver.

    5. Wearing bangles:

Indian women wear bangles as a part of the Indian tradition. the tinkling sound coming from the bangles will keep the negative energy away.

Ayurveda stated that women's bones are weaker compared to men's. Traditionally bangles are made with gold and silver, which absorb energy and are transmitted to the body that can help to improve physiological function. It's believed that the constant friction coming from the bangles can improve blood circulation levels.

The energy which is emitted from the outer skin is absorbed by the bangles and sent back to the body.
